Nobody told me how long it would last
Nobody told me that I would have a past
Nobody told me that the lights would go out
Or what it was all about

When I was walking on Broadway
Singing those old songs
Walking on Broadway
Righting those old wrongs
And feeling down

Nobody told me what the future would be
Nobody told me bout the things I would see
Nobody told me that time takes its toll
Out of your very soul

When I was walking on Broadway
Singing those old songs
Walking on Broadway
Righting those old wrongs
And feeling down

8. Walking On Broadway
(McGowan) Dabozzes keeps rollin' on and why not, it's pretty cool! If you wonder what the hell dabozzes I am talking about, just read my comments from the track 4. Nice vocal riffs. Simplicity meets efficiency. -- Jore

Walking on Broadway was the title of one of the first songs I ever wrote (around 1976). It was just a bluesy E-A-B7 thing and I was trying to be Bob Dylan, or Donovan or Neil Young or something at the time with the harmonica harness. This is a completely different song – just thinking back to when I was 19. I was grumpy then – and I'm still grumpy! Guitar is tuned DADFCE –Davy
